Hormone oxytocin can treat autism

A new study shows people with autism at a high level, as the syndrome who were treated with oxytocin has responded more strongly to others and published more appropriate social behavior.

They say the findings suggest new long-term studies are needed to examine the effects of oxytocin on social skills and behaviors among people with high functioning autism.
